How shops get work
How HVAC contractors get leads
HVAC contractors get leads the same few ways: people already searching, people scrolling social, people they already served, and people a neighbor sent. Everything else is usually a middleman taking a cut of a name you’ll fight over.
I grew an electric and HVAC shop with my own marketing spend. Real tests, not theory. How Lead Junkies got built.
The channels that belong to you
Google: repair and replacement intent. SEO and search ads for the jobs you run. Meta and TikTok: offers, proof, and conversations — if follow-up is real. Your list: tune-ups, estimates that went quiet, last year’s customers.
Referrals still work. They don’t scale on a Tuesday in July when three trucks are down and the board is full of no-cools. That’s when paid and SEO have to be honest, not cute.
What to stop buying
Shared leads. Guaranteed volume. Boosted posts with no offer. A website that can’t convert. I know because I tested this with my own money while running trucks — not because a guru said so. If you want the long version, start with services and the Meta vs Google page.
