HVAC social media

HVAC social media marketing is not a content calendar

HVAC social media marketing that books work looks like a tech on a job, not a week of stock graphics. I run Meta and TikTok for HVAC contractors — organic first, then spend on what already moved.

I grew an electric and HVAC shop with my own marketing spend. Real tests, not theory. How Lead Junkie got built.

Post the work. Then pay.

No-cool, changeout walkthrough, membership pitch you already give in the driveway. Vertical, captions, one job per clip. If it didn’t work free, boosting it will not save it. That’s the whole social strategy. The rest is posting for the algorithm’s entertainment.

Most HVAC shops I talk to in the Southeast have the same problem: somebody made a posting schedule, bought a stock-photo pack, and filled the feed with “Happy National Donut Day” graphics. Nobody in Tampa or Charlotte hires an HVAC company because of a holiday post. They hire the company that looks like it shows up, explains the problem, and doesn’t upsell them into a system they don’t need.

What to film on an HVAC job

You don’t need a videographer. You need a tech or owner who is willing to talk for thirty seconds while the work is real. Phones are fine. Bad lighting is fine. Fake is not fine.

  • The problem homeowners actually see: iced line, clogged drain, dead capacitor, burnt contactor
  • A before/after on a changeout — old unit out, clean install in, one sentence on why
  • The membership or tune-up pitch you already give in the driveway, said on camera
  • Owner talking straight: why you answer the phone, what you won’t do, how you price (without posting prices)
  • A homeowner question you get every week, answered in one clip

Organic vs paid: different jobs

Organic social is where you find out what people stop for. Paid social is where you put money behind the clips that already proved it. Flip that order and you’re paying Meta to test your creative with your cash instead of your free reach.

Social is interruption, not search. Someone scrolling Facebook in April isn’t sweating in a dead house — Search and Local Services Ads usually carry the emergency. Social fits memberships, tune-ups, replacement conversations, and proof that you’re a real shop. Channel fit in detail: Facebook ads vs Google ads for HVAC.

Social leads die on the phone

A Meta lead from a Tuesday-night scroll is lower intent than a Google call. That’s fine — if somebody reaches them fast. Instant Forms with nobody calling back are a junk list with a nice CPM. Decide Forms vs Messenger on purpose: Meta Forms vs Messenger for HVAC.

Then fix the phone side: HVAC speed-to-lead and HVAC SMS marketing. A text inside a few minutes, a real person, one question about the system. That’s where social turns into booked jobs.

Where I show the voice

Watch @joeymarketing_homesvs and the embeds on this site (videos). Same contractor voice I want on your HVAC ads. The booked-customer clips are my shop, labeled so nobody treats them like a Lead Junkie client wall.

Joey’s shop labels (not client case studies): $750k of my own marketing spend growing an electric + HVAC shop about $2.1M → $7M, and Meta tests like 31 booked on $1,800 and 25 on $700. Those counted customers, not likes. If a social plan can’t tell you how it gets to booked jobs, it’s a content calendar.

Stop boosting everything

The boost button is Meta’s favorite way to take a small shop’s money. Boosting a random post to “people who like HVAC” is not a campaign: stop boosting HVAC posts. Build real campaigns from clips that already moved: turn HVAC job videos into ads and HVAC Meta creative testing.

Judge social by booked jobs and cost per booked job — cost per lead vs cost per booked job — not followers. Full stack: HVAC lead generation, Meta ads, TikTok ads. Google Ads, SEO, and Meta + TikTok Ads are $1,500/month each, no contract — see pricing. Southeast HVAC contractors: get a quote or call 786-910-6062.

FAQ

How often should an HVAC company post on social media?
Often enough that real jobs show up every week. Consistency of real work beats a daily schedule of filler graphics.
Facebook or TikTok for HVAC?
Facebook/Instagram (Meta) is usually where Southeast homeowners convert today; TikTok is strong for reach and testing hooks. Many shops use TikTok to find the clip and Meta to run it. See HVAC TikTok ads and HVAC Facebook ads.
Can social media replace Google for AC repair?
Usually not for true emergencies. Search and LSA carry no-cool intent. Social supports memberships, offers, replacements, and trust.
Do I need professional video?
No. Phone video from real jobs usually outperforms polished stock. Captions, one idea per clip, and a real person talking.
Do you publish social media package prices?
Yes. Meta + TikTok Ads management is $1,500/month for both platforms together, month to month, no contract. See pricing. Call 786-910-6062 or contact.
