HVAC landing pages that don’t waste spend
You can win the click and still lose the job. HVAC landing pages fail when they hide the phone, talk like a brand, or send the form into a black hole. Remember: the click already paid — the page has one job.
I grew an electric and HVAC shop with my own marketing spend. Real tests, not theory. How Lead Junkie got built.
The page is part of the ad — treat it that way
I’m Joey Donohue. Lead Junkie exists because I burned real money learning this on my own shop — $750k of my marketing spend while growing from about $2.1M to $7M. Pretty sites that don’t answer the phone are expensive art.
Whether the click came from Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, or SEO, the landing experience has to make booking obvious on a phone in a driveway.
What has to be on the page (non-negotiables)
If these aren’t true, fix the page before you raise budgets. Deeper site work: HVAC website design and HVAC websites service.
- Click-to-call above the fold — sticky phone on mobile
- What you do in plain English (repair, install, membership — match the ad)
- Where you actually run — honest service area, not “nationwide vibes”
- A form that emails a real inbox someone watches
- Proof you have permission to show — real reviews/photos, not fake stars
- Fast on a phone. Slow pages are a soft hang-up
Match the ad or refund the click in slow motion
If the ad said tune-up, the page should not open on a big-ticket lifestyle changeout gallery. If the ad said no-cool, don’t bury dispatch under “our story.” Message match is free conversion rate. If you change the offer mid-season, change the headline the same day — leftover summer no-cool pages collecting shoulder traffic is how good ads look broken.
Ad promise → page must show
| Ad said | Page should lead with | Common miss |
|---|---|---|
| AC not cooling | Call now / same-day path | Brand story first |
| Tune-up special (your offer) | Tune-up details + book/call | Replacement gallery |
| Membership | What’s included + enroll/call | Generic homepage |
| ZIP-specific SEO | That city + services | Thin doorway fluff |
Forms, messages, and the inbox nobody owns
A form that sits overnight is how HVAC Facebook ads turn into junk. Messenger with nobody in the inbox is the same leak with a chat bubble. Pair the page with missed-call text-back and Forms vs Messenger.
Service pages for SEO need the same honesty — HVAC SEO service pages. Don’t build thin city stubs that waste crawl budget and trust.
What I build toward (and what I won’t promise)
I build HVAC sites so Meta, TikTok, Google, and SEO have somewhere honest to land. Website builds are scoped per shop, not a flat price. I will not invent conversion-rate benchmarks for your market.

FAQ
- Do I need a separate landing page for every ad?
- You need message match. Sometimes that’s a dedicated page; sometimes a tight service page with the right headline. Don’t send every campaign to the homepage.
- Should HVAC landing pages hide the phone to force form fills?
- No. Homeowners with a dead AC want to tap to call. Hiding the phone to game a form metric is how you lose the driveway.
- What about Instant Forms vs a website?
- Both can work if a human answers. Instant Forms without follow-up are a junk factory — see Forms vs Messenger for HVAC.
- Can SEO pages double as ad landing pages?
- Yes if they’re phone-first, fast, and match the query. Thin doorway pages help neither SEO nor ads.
- Will Lead Junkie promise a conversion rate?
- No. We’ll talk booked jobs, dispatch reality, and whether the page is leaking money.
